About the tour

Nepal has always been known for a country with majority of Hindus, but more importantly is known for its religious tolerance.

In this tour we aim to showcase the lifestyle and traditions of the local Muslims. Jame Mosque and Kashmiri Mosque are located at the heart of Kathmandu and are no more than 500 meters away from each other, near the Narayanhiti Museum. These mosques stand on the side of Ghantaghar, a busy one-way street. Both mosques are protected by high walls; a pedestrian walking on the same side of the street may be excused for not noticing the minarets that tower just above them. Daily life at the mosques is punctuated by prayers which are pertained five times a day.
