About the tour:

This tour is called the Tigers and Temples tour because of the many temples, stupas and monasteries in Lumbini, and the tigers and jungle that exist in Chitwan. Lumbini has been included as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO, and here we will visit the birthplace of Budhha, Ashoka pillar, Maya Devi temple and many other places. Then we will visit Tilaurako, the ancient palace of King Suddodhan (Gautam Buddha’s father), where the Lord Buddha spent his formative years as a Shakya Prince.

In Chitwan we can explore the sub-tropical jungles of Chitwan National Park by canoeing and jungle safari. Chitwan National Park is situated 120 km southwest of Kathmandu and covers 932 sq. km. The “King of the Jungle” is the Bengal tiger but you will also see different kinds of animals, birds and crocodiles. The most interesting part of Chitwan National Park is the jungle safari and exploring the area will be scheduled for activities like bird watching, canoe ride etc.
