About the Tour:

Your tour begins with a visit to Sayambhunath, also known as the Monkey Temple due to its residents. Perched on the hilltop it is the oldest Buddhist Stupa in Nepal,  offering a bird’s eye view of the Kathmandu valley. The major highlight of the tour is the large Stupa on the top but there are several other Hindu temples as well. This unique interaction between Buddhism and Hinduism is difficult to find anywhere else.

As you explore the stupa, you will be mesmerized by the chants of prayers and fantastic sounds of ringing bells. Afterwards your guide will take you through the backstreets to Durbar Square. Durbar Square is a place where you can learn about the culture, history and religion of Nepal. You can see ancient temples, courtyards and markets selling crafts and fresh produce.
